A high-quality child and youth mental health and addictions system leads to good client experiences and timely services that are integrated and easy to navigate. This requires flexibility, agility and an appetite for change — the status quo is just not good enough. That's why we see quality improvement (QI) as a continuous process, not an event.
One way we improve quality across our sector is through the development of quality standards and guidelines.
Another way we work to improve quality across our sector is through our efforts to bolster agencies’ QI knowledge and know-how. In 2020 we launched Quest — a quality improvement program based on Lean Six Sigma methodology. We provide group learning opportunities and tailored coaching for participating organizations as they work through QI projects centred on system-level priorities.
