After 17 years of operating as a centre of excellence, it’s time for a change! We’re taking on a new identity that better reflects our existing and evolving role in Ontario’s child and youth mental health and addictions sector.
We’re now the Knowledge Institute on Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions. This new name speaks to our long-standing mandate to expand, leverage and share knowledge that guides and reinforces high-quality mental health care. It also reflects how we’re focusing even more on understanding and addressing the intersections that underlie complex mental health needs, including the overlaps between mental health and substance use and addictions.
While our name, look and feel have changed, our commitment to supporting our sector and its knowledge needs remains the same. We’re just as dedicated as ever to working together to ensure the best mental health and well-being for Ontario’s children, young people and families.
